The People
I have worked with BP Employees in the past and they are actually
some
of the
finest people
I have ever known and worked with. I am serious. But I think
the real
problems
at BP stem
from a mentality in BP's senior leadership
that profits
are more
important than people or safety.

You Can Take Action Right Now!
*** URGENT *** Call the White House and tell the people answering the phone there that BP MUST have its assets seized BEFORE they are allowed to file for CHAPTER 11. They will listen, take notes, and tell President Obama about your concerns. The number is 1-202-456-1111. Then tell your friends to do the same and then pray for the people on the Gulf Coast, the plant life and wild life, and of course the sea life that have all been harmed. Thank you!!!

The Future (opinion)
| In my opinion:: BP is in a horrible position and I believe that the executive leadership has finally figured it out. Everyone knows that they are the 4th largest publically held company in the world and that they are cash rich. And for nearly two weeks, BP has been the butt of jokes on the Tonight show. What everyone is now learning from the news is that present BP oil drilling / eco-catastrophe is causing compounded damage to the environment. The end result will be negative effects on the people, the environment, and the economy in that region for decades to come. My prediction is that if the oil drilling / eco-catastrophe is not contained within the next 30 days, and that if BP does not major amends, the BP brand will be so tarnished and their stock will drop so low, that they will gladly seek a merger with Royal Dutch Shell and hope to eradicate the BP name and the BP brand. Don't think this situation doesn't also resonate in the Obama administration and throughout the rich and powerful in Washington, DC: Most of these folks were the recipients of HUGE campaign contributions from BP. Those news stories are just now starting to come out this week. |

Opinion about BP
| BP is a master of great commercials and PR, but in reality they care MUCH more about profits, than people, the environment, and Safety. Check BP's track record on the 2005 BP Texas City Refinery Disaster and the 2006 BP Alaskan Oil Spill fiasco. When you think of BP, think of a British Oil Company that is extremely arrogant, powerful, predatory, and bullying; maybe the wolf in sheep's clothing imagery would apply. |
